Well, I’m in the thick of the Front Yard Gardening project and I just got the most wonderful news! The flowers for my Red & White garden will arrive this week!!

They’re a little earlier than I thought they’d be, but at least they’ll be ready to go as soon as I have the raised bed all prepared. Last weekend was spent digging up the 13 feet of lawn between the road and the cement walkway to the front door that was put in 50 years ago in anticipation of a sidewalk that never was.

So I added some flagstone steps and mulch to fill it in. A much better welcome to Reiki clients when you come to the house is being prepared.

The new walkway will lead you past the red & white flower garden to the front door. I’m so excited to see what will be coming this week, I can hardly wait! I hope the weather is good this weekend so we can get the raised garden all planted.

Since learning that my day job will be going away in six to nine months, I’ve been doing some soul searching on how I want to approach my Reiki business. I decided to bring everything in house and concentrate on making my home the healing center that I’ve been dreaming of since we moved in last year. I thought I’d have several years to work on both the house and the business before I would have to make any career changes. Now it looks like I may have the opportunity to move forward sooner than I planned.

It’s both exciting and a little terrifying, as I don’t have the savings or the client base to eliminate the day job today. But I will work with the Reiki, enjoy fixing up the house, and keep up my meditations and see where this path may lead.
