Reiki III Day 21

I haven’t posted in a few days, as I’ve been busy with work and other things. I haven’t been observing my 21 days as well as I had hoped, I missed doing my meditations for the past two nights and I haven’t exercised all week. Today there are busywork things to do before going in to Eye of Horus to do readings tonight, and my office is such a mess I can hardly stand working in it. So finally I will do some organizing, as all the clutter does nothing for the energy down here either.  The weekend will be extremely busy, and I have much to prepare beforehand as well, working diligently is part of the Reiki path though, and it’s something to meditate on when details begin to annoy me. 🙂

The way I first learned this one is “earn your living honestly,” and I was taught that’s from Takata’s translation. I have also seen “work hard” and “Apply yourself diligently” as alternate translations. Perhaps it would be best to understand it as all three, and sometimes we need a reminder that good work can bring us closer to spiritual understanding, whatever that work may be. So off to work I go!

  1. Beth, it is a pleasure to read your blog. Its fun to map your progress and you inspire me to take an interest in my own health and well-being. Good luck with your M/B/S quest, and keep on truckin!

I too am working on losing some weight I packed on over the last 3 extremely stressful years. I feel that for me, the weight will come off when I feel better and start taking care of me. For me it means a huge paradigm shift is in the cards literally, since it isnt working to try to be the superwoman who is fat, unhappy, and too busy to even know whats going on and not embracing those wonderful spontaneous moments that life tries to give us.

  2. Thanks Sarah,

The quest continues this weekend with a Mystic Spirit Party, where I get to share some energy with friends and friends of friends. 🙂 I think you’re right about leaving the weight behind as you make positive changes in your life.
