Last Wednesday I got hit with the Flu, not the stuffy head fever kind, but the frequent visits to the bathroom, chills then fever kind. Well, it was unexpected because I wasn’t aware of coming in contact with anyone with the flu, but one never knows. Tis the season after all. While I was purging my body of everything I’d taken in the previous week, I tried to think of it as releasing all my worries, doubts, and fears. Best to flush those down the toilet at the earliest opportunity.
Much time was spent on the couch, giving myself Reiki as best as I could, though it was hard to feel anything past the chills and nausea. A very small amount of chicken soup helped a bit, as did my childhood favorite of 7-up. Herbal tea and water made up the rest of my diet for the day. And the TV was on low volume while I drifted in and out of sleep, then went to bed extremely early.
My dear kitties tried to help by laying on me and purring, but it would often initiate my need to visit the bathroom again too soon for their comfort. Until now the idea of attuning my cats to Reiki sounded very silly to me, but it sure would have come in handy on Wednesday to have an extra source for healing in the house.
Hope you’re recovered from the flu by now, Beth! Congratulations again on completing your Reiki Master training. I look forward to reading about your first class and how it is to be the teacher instead of the student.
Peace and blessings,
Alice
