Reiki II Class – Okuden
Okuden is a Japanese word which means ‘inner teachings’. The purpose of the Reiki II workshop is to learn the Reiki Symbols and Mantras to facilitate distant healing and spiritual growth. People who have completed any Level I Shoden reiki course may register for this course. If students have completed their training with another teacher they may need to show their Level I or Shoden certificate.
The feel of the Level 2 – Okuden course differs from the Level I – Shoden course as the focus of the course is about self development from the view of the practitioner. Some of the theoretical components of the Level 1 – Shoden course is built on, to allow the student to gain a greater understanding of the subjects. Though this level is for the serious reiki student it would also be beneficial for anyone who works or lives in a caring role. It would also be beneficial for anyone who is intersted in reiki.
During this class the student will gain experience with the five elements of Reiki for the Second Degree which are:
Gokai – Develop the spiritual and mental connection using gokai
Kokyû hô – Learn kokyû hô (breathing techniques) appropriate to this level to ground the student.
Tenohira –The physical practice of tenohira (palm-healing) on the self and others for the purpose of healing.
Enkaku Chiryo – Distance healing teqniques using Reiki Symbols
Reiju – Receive reiju (a blessing) from a teacher to develop the student’s energetic connection.
The Reiki II Okuden student will deepen his/her experience with working with the system of Reiki. This is a full day workshop, with ample time for practice to gain a deep understanding of how this system works. Each student will both give and receive a full reiki treatment as part of the course. The focus is on personal development and spirituality, with an emphasis on the traditional Japanese teachings. My aim as your teacher is to connect all practitioners with Reiki’s true spiritual depth.
Usui Reiki Training Includes:
* The essence of the system of Reiki
* The chronological history of Reiki teachings
* How to develop a well grounded personal spirituality
* How to use symbols to give distance Reiki treatment
* How to connect to your original energy (called hara in Japanese)
* How to connect to plants, food, animals, crystals etc. using Reiki
* Becoming initiated into the Okuden level of Reiki with an attunement
Each of the five elements of the system of Reiki will be taught to you including receiving the attunement or reiju, an energy blessing that clear the body’s energy channels. Over the course of the day the body will begin to adjust to this energy. For some students this is experienced as a connection to a new world as perceptions change, renewing balance and harmony.
After completing Reiki II Okuden the student is asked to continue practicing on themselves. This continues the energetic clearing, which was initiated during the course itself, and is the foundation of the practice of Reiki. I see the studying of the system of Reiki as a spiritual journey – one that is undertaken by you with every support offered during, and after, the course by me as your teacher.
Benefits of Reiki II Okuden:
* Continued practice with relaxation and meditation techniques
* Gain a clear understanding of the Reiki Symbols
* Experience emotional and physical release
* Feel comfortable with yourself
* Develop your compassionate and loving aspects
* Help others
* Feel strong
* Be knowledgeable about the system of Reiki
* Receive individual ongoing attention and guidance from your teacher
* Belong to a local community of healers and receive support from that community
Each student receives a manual and certificate as a Reiki Second Degree practitioner along with a “tool kit” for deepening your practice.
All students are asked to continue practicing after the course finishes. The reason for this is that each course traditionally is considered to be an introduction to that level – consequently a supremely high level of ongoing support is offered to all my students.
