Reiki III – Days 9-10

Yoga for Weight Loss

This morning I began my diet and exercise program to help with my low energy levels. I’ve put on a few pounds over the holidays, and now that I’m embarking on a career as a Reiki Master, it’s time to add the body element to healing mind, body, and spirit. So I got up at 7:30 this morning and did my Yoga for Weight Loss video that I used last time I lost lots of weight. That’s an hour earlier than I usually get up, and I was sorely tempted to stay in bed, but then I remembered how good I always feel after doing yoga.

This morning was tough, because I’m stiff and completely out of shape, I could only do the poses with extreme modification, and even then I had to take a break before finishing. But I’m committed to changing my life in the physical realm as well as the mental and spiritual, so this is the third leg of a healthy lifestyle for me. I’ll be doing Yoga every Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday morning, with Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for some kind of aerobics. I have plenty of videos for all of this, and I’ve lost weight before with videos. For my diet I’ll be going on the Slim-Fast diet plan, because that’s what I did before and it really does work for me.

I’ve been blogging for a while now on the benefits of Reiki on overall health and well-being, now that I expand my efforts for my own health, I’m happy to have a place to talk about it.
