To Reiki or Not to Reiki…That is the Question

Friday night is Reiki Night at Eye of Horus, and as an Apprentice to Reiki Master Maggie I’ve committed the next six months to working with her. But I’ve had some problems with that lately. Once I had to work overtime until 9:00 p.m., another time I was feeling ill and stayed home, and tonight I went out to dinner with my sister.  The thing is, my sister is one of the owners of Eye of Horus, so I stopped in and said hi beforehand. We got back from dinner at around 8:45 and I went upstairs to the Reiki Room and they were folding up the table. We did some distance Reiki in a circle together though, and I could actually see the energy moving in the center of all of us! That was really cool.

Still…I seem to miss it a lot. Life has been crazy, and there are still some major issues to deal with in the weeks and months to come. Hopefully I’ll be able to devote more time to actually participating in the weekly Reiki sessions as things get settled more. This week I also found myself giving myself Reiki during my lunch break at work, I must have really needed it. Each night I try to spend some time on my table as well. Maybe I’ll have to schedule a block of time ON the table on Reiki Night, that way I’ll get fully charged and will be able to give Reiki too.

Having this regular schedule will eventually work out for me I think, and I’ll use my blog to log in every Friday night to tell you all how it went. Accountability can be a very useful tool in my personal growth as a Reiki Master. I’ve started reading The Tao of Pooh, and I’ll post about my experience with that another time. For now I’ll just wish you Happy Reiki Moments this weekend!

  1. You’ll be fine! Life happens and the point of reiki isn’t to add yet another booking to the schedule, but to help it all work together. So breathe, reiki yourself and the situation as time permits, and it will all work out.
